For many businesses, the 2032 Olympic Games offers a once in a lifetime opportunity to secure valuable government contracts which will likely provide ongoing revenue even after the Games have ended.

Pretty simple: SMBs need to be putting their hands up and demanding to feast at the Government Procurement table. Because, rest assured; Big Business will be gorging themselves as they consume any Government contracts they can get their hands on.

The 2032 Olympics will see many big businesses set themselves up for years to come as they bully their way into highly profitable Government contracts. Many of these very same Government opportunities have the potential to exponentially accelerate the growth of so many SMBs and support our local communities in far more meaningful ways.
However, ‘potential’ realises little unless SMBs are engaged and ensure that Government knows that your business is ready to supply. Put your hand up and have a go, because your competitors, big and small, will secure new Government revenue streams, grow their market share, and expand into new markets on the back of the Olympics.
Happily, there will be some SMBs who will nail the brief and win some very good pieces of Government work – and this will be fantastic for those businesses as well as their local communities. The question is, how many? At this moment in time, I’d say nowhere near enough.
